Charlie Leonard is an experienced advisor to CISOs and CIOs who specializes in developing business-centric and risk-adjusted cybersecurity strategies. In his current role focused on security transformation he collaborates with client executives and internal Palo Alto Networks teams to align on shared vision, and creates roadmaps in the pursuit of strategic objectives that will realize that vision.
He has served as one of Palo Alto Networks’ Advisory CISOs where he consulted with clients on all aspects of program strategy – inclusive of security fundamentals, risk governance, and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining PANW he spent 5 years with PwC’s Cyber, Risk & Regulatory practice, where he developed their Board of Directors Cybersecurity consulting program – advising and collaborating with CISOs and CIOs to build trust and drive engagement with their Board and Executive teams. This program was a direct outgrowth of his work as Co-founder and COO of a software firm called Cybernance that specialized in Board of Directors communications.
