How Government Agencies Can Start Adopting ‘Zero Trust’ Right Now
In May, President Joe Biden signed an executive order compelling U.S. government departments and agencies to adopt several new cybersecurity practices, including deploying “zero trust” architectures designed to mitigate threats such as supply chain and ransomware attacks that have become an area of concern.

And while federal agencies are now compelled to deploy zero trust, how they get there within the tight timelines detailed in the executive order is less specific. It will require new thinking about how to deploy identity and management tools, fit in multifactor authentication and prepare employees for this new approach to security.

At the same time, the federal government’s adoption of zero trust is likely to force state and local agencies to adopt the same approach, which means they will need to address some of the same concerns.

Please join ISMG’s Dan Gunderman for an exclusive Virtual Roundtable that will draw from the collective experiences of the attendees, offering insights into how government agencies can deploy a successful zero trust architecture approach.

Discussion topics will include:

  • How is President Biden’s executive order specifically driving government agencies toward zero trust?
  • What are some of the best strategies for government agencies – whether federal, state or local – to deploy zero trust, and what pitfalls should they avoid?
  • How can technologies such as IAM and MFA help pave the way to more secure networks?

Joining Dan to provide expert insight and case studies is Helen Patton, Advisory CISO at Duo Security.
