Building a Successful Data-Driven Security Program
Security leaders are looking to get the most value from their investments. They're looking for metrics that help gauge how their investments have resulted in better security outcomes. They're also looking for clues in data that indicate where future investments need to be made in order to reduce their risk profiles.

There are numerous sources for security data: SIEMs, XDR or EDR platforms, logs collected by security products are amongst them. But taking raw data and transforming it into meaningful insights is challenging. Certain batches of technical data may indicate a need for an immediate tactical decision, but it may not necessarily drive longer-term strategic making. Security budgets are often determined by non-technical people, which also means that risk profiles and how to reduce those profiles need to be comprehensible to executive boards.

If you’re looking for advice on how to build a data-driven security program, then join ISMG’s Jeremy Kirk for an exclusive roundtable discussion on Building a Data Driven Security Program. This invitation-only roundtable will draw from the experiences of the attendees, offering thoughts on their experiences.

Discussion topics will include:

  • How to use data to drive security decision making
  • What kinds of data are useful when looking to reduce risk
  • How organizations can collect valuable data to drive their security programs
  • What key metrics get executive boards' attention
  • How data can predict where security investments will need to be made

Joining Jeremy to provide expert insight from Verizon will be Aaron Sharp, Security Solutions Consultant at Verizon Enterprise Solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss the topic with a handful of senior executives and market leaders in an informal, closed-door setting from which you will emerge with new strategies and solutions you can immediately put to work.
