AI-Driven Social Engineering: Combating Multi-Channel Threats

11:00 - 12:30 CET | Virtual

Event Overview

Phishing emails are no longer the sole threat vector in social engineering. Today’s attackers leverage a range of channels—from messaging apps and social media to corporate tools and online meetings—launching layered, multi-channel attacks that evade traditional defences.

AI has elevated these deceptions, enabling seamless manipulation of text, voice, and video, blurring the line between real and fake. By exploiting psychological biases and integrating techniques like deepfakes and smishing, cybercriminals create attacks that align with victims’ assumptions.

In a landscape where “confirmation bias” and emotionally charged stories increase the potency of these tactics, how can organisations evolve their defences to stay one step ahead?

Guided by insights from Dr. Martin Krämer, Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4, and informed by the collective experiences of participants, this session will delve into the latest strategies to combat AI-driven social engineering, the psychology behind multi-channel manipulation, and actionable steps to strengthen organisational defences.

DISCUSSION POINTS

  • Navigating New Threats – Understand how AI-driven, multi-channel attacks exploit psychological biases.
  • Cultivating Security Awareness – Learn strategies to foster a proactive, security-focused culture.
  • Strengthening Defences – Gain actionable steps to combat AI-enhanced social engineering.
