Zero Trust in Critical Infrastructure: Securing Industrial Systems against Advanced Cyber Threats

5:30pm-8:00pm CT | Houston, TX

Event Overview

Cyberattacks on industrial environments are escalating. With the risk of ransomware shutting down production lines, supply chain threats compromising industrial systems, and nation-state attacks increasingly targeting ICS, SCADA, and IIoT devices, traditional security models no longer provide adequate protection.

But how does Zero Trust fit into industrial security? As IT and OT environments continue to converge, the implementation of Zero Trust frameworks within OT environments comes with a unique set of challenges – from legacy systems to real-time operational constraints.

In this discussion, we’ll address whether Zero Trust is a practical approach for manufacturing, energy and utilities, and ways for organizations to align security strategies with operational realities without disrupting production.

In this session, industry leaders and security experts will explore:

  • The feasibility of Zero Trust in ICS, SCADA, and OT environments—what works, what doesn’t.

  • How Zero Trust aligns with regulatory requirements like NERC CIP—without adding operational friction.

  • Steps organizations can take today—beyond just Zero Trust—to secure legacy systems and industrial networks.

  • Lessons learned from Zero Trust implementations and alternative security strategies for critical infrastructure
