Building the Defensible Cloud: From Reactive to Resilient
4:00pm – 5:30pm ET | Virtual
Event Overview
As State, Local and Education organizations embrace the cloud, they face a critical challenge: ensuring that rapid innovation doesn’t create unintended complexity, governance gaps and an expanding threat landscape. The very agility that makes the cloud powerful can, without a deliberate strategy, lead to a reactive and vulnerable security posture.
This executive roundtable is designed for SLED security leaders to move beyond theory and discuss the practical realities of building and maintaining a truly defensible cloud environment. This is a strategic, peer-to-peer conversation guided by insights from Google and Mandiant’s frontline experience securing the world’s most targeted organizations.
Among the discussion points:
-
Mastering Cloud Complexity: How to shift from manual configuration to codified governance that prevents drift and enforces policy at scale.
-
Enforcing Least Privilege: Practical strategies for taming identity and access management “sprawl” for both human and machine identities.
-
Shrinking the Attack Surface: Making secure configurations the default, not the exception, to systematically reduce exposure.
