Evolving IT and OT Roles for Secure and Resilient Manufacturing Operations

6:00 - 8:30 PM CET | Munich, Germany

Event Overview

Today’s manufacturing leaders are facing a perfect storm of challenges: increasingly sophisticated cyber threats targeting OT environments, the expanding attack surface of mobile devices, and the growing demand for operational agility and escalating compliance pressures.

As factories become more connected, their digital footprints expand, exposing new vulnerabilities that can jeopardize production. Manufacturers must protect their assets, but also secure themselves against the indirect effects of attacks against third-party IT services and weaknesses in their supply chains.

Perhaps the biggest challenge of all? The mindset shifts required to transform networks to a zero trust model, in order to avoid unplanned factory downtime.

In this roundtable we will unpack the critical challenges of IT/OT convergence – the cultural differences, not just the technological – and share actionable strategies to help organisations identify, prioritise and mitigate vulnerabilities in OT systems, third-party vendor access and supply chains.

Among the discussion topics:

  • Real-world OT security threats: How attackers are exploiting long-life systems and vendor access gaps.
  • IT and OT trust barriers: Why do silos persist and how can you break them?
  • The future of IT/OT collaboration: Creating a unified, effective and secure operational
    strategy
