Matanda Doss is an Executive Director for the J.P. Morgan Chase, Commercial Banking Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization. He has 25 years of technology experience, across software development, ecommerce, mobile applications, data security and financial systems. Matanda serves as an Information Security Manager and is responsible for a team of information security professionals, overseeing internal cybersecurity, risk and controls for the Commercial Bank. He is also responsible for helping business leaders and technology teams with their cybersecurity initiatives through JPMorgan Chase’s Protect the Client program. Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Matanda designed, developed, and operated a payment processing solution for the U.S. Department of Defense Armed Forces Exchange. With security required at the code, process, and system levels, he quickly fell in love with the challenge of safeguarding and managing secure environments. As the system evolved and globalized, the company managed 14 years of level one PCI Compliance with zero failures or security exceptions until it’s decommissioning in 2020. Matanda has also held leadership positions with 5th Dimension Logistics, JDA Software (now Blue Yonder), and Global Health Experts. As a Senior Director of Technology at JDA software, he and his teams were responsible for developing award winning retail back office systems and point of sale software. Matanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Southern Utah University. During his free time, he volunteers for a local sports program, coaching and mentoring student athletes. He is a youth Gold Licensed Coach with USA Basketball and a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Performance Award from Dale Carnegie Executive Leadership. During his years as a college athlete, he was team captain, a multi-year letterman and an Academic All-American.
