Defining the Limits of Enterprise-Grade Solutions for the Defense Sector

3:00 - 4:30pm AEST | Virtual

Event Overview

The era of wars being fought on purely kinetic terms is behind us. For the defense sector, creating, developing and maintaining an effective cybersecurity defense is as important as physical defense. A cyberattack can cause significant costs to an enterprise, but a nation-state attack that impacts the military can have a devastating impact.

How can our military defend against increasingly determined and well-resourced adversaries? Are enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions up to the challenge? Are there limits on the effectiveness of enterprise-grade solutions when placed in military contexts?

The fast-moving, high-stakes technology requirements of the defense community require constant evaluation of the enterprise solutions that are and aren’t capable of military-grade secure connectivity.

DISCUSSION POINTS

  • What is sovereignty and how important is it in the conversation about cybersecurity solutions?
  • How can public/private partnerships help our defense and intelligence agencies better secure our national interests?
  • What’s the impact on the procurement of tools and services for arrangements such as AUKUS and Five Eyes?
