Beyond Awareness: Redefining Human Risk in Cybersecurity
11:00 - 12:30 CET | Virtual
Event Overview
For decades, security awareness training has been the go-to solution for mitigating human-related cyber risks. But in today’s complex threat landscape, simply raising awareness is no longer enough. With humans being exploited in 60 to 90 percent of successful breaches, organisations must adopt a broader, more integrated approach to addressing these vulnerabilities.
Human risk management (HRM) is emerging as a comprehensive strategy that combines people, processes, and technology to create a security mindset embedded within organisational culture. Traditional training often overlooks the broader behavioural and environmental factors that influence decision-making. By addressing these psychological and cultural dimensions, HRM moves beyond compliance-driven approaches, fostering secure behaviours through supportive corporate policies, advanced technical tools, and a deeper focus on shared responsibility.
Join Dr. Martin Krämer, Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4, for a moderator-led discussion in German. This session will explore actionable strategies to reduce human risk, share real-world examples of HRM in action, and provide insights on creating an environment where secure behaviour becomes second nature.
DISCUSSION POINTS
- Human Risk as a Critical Focus: Understand why humans remain the most common attack vector and how HRM addresses this vulnerability.
- Empowering Employees: Learn how to use policies, training, and technical tools to encourage secure behaviours.
- Holistic Risk Mitigation: Explore how integrated approaches to HRM reduce risks and foster a culture of shared security responsibility.
