AI and Fraud: Next-Generation Approaches to Stopping Business and Person Fraud

5:30 - 8:00 PM ET | New York, NY

Event Overview

Fraud: It often starts with onboarding and succeeds because fraudsters are increasingly able to buy mass identities, and automate the purchase of emails, phones, IP addresses and device spoofing. A fraudster uses a stolen, fake or synthetic identity, opens a new account online, or applies to be a seller on a marketplace platform, attacks traditional account or business verification processes … and then the doors are blown wide open for all types of fraud against individuals and organizations.

Enter emerging AI-enabled tools, and now you have to start thinking about the future risk of fraudsters creating fraudulent new accounts at an unprecedented scale via social engineering, voice clones and fake ID documents. As fraudsters are able to increasingly beat verification, being able to detect high risk fraud and have tiered treatment will matter more and more. The large-scale, super-risky fraud attack will need to be challenged differently compared to something with just a bit of elevated risk.

So, how does a defender harness AI tools to help differentiate real, good businesses and people from fraudsters during account onboarding? How can one mitigate the risks of identity theft and synthetic IDs, while at the same time overcoming the errors, risks and inefficiencies of current (often manual) onboarding processes? How can you identify and stop the “patient zero” of identity fraud, to ensure the account opener is truly whom they say they are?

If you are looking for new ways to improve identity verification and face these onboarding challenges, then register for this exclusive roundtable event. Join our subject matter experts and your peers to discuss next generation ways to stop business and person fraud at the onboarding process, including how to:

  • Distinguish real identities from fake.
  • Improve the identity verification process without creating too much user friction.
  • Use new AI-powered tools to verify identities and fight fraud.
