The Velocity Paradox: Accelerating Financial Services Growth While Securing Data

4:00 -5:30 PM ET | Virtual

Event Overview

The financial services sector is undergoing a profound shift from branch-based operations to a digital-first, product-led model where market success is measured in speed. But speed brings risk. As institutions race to launch new digital products, they are also contending with an expanding threat landscape, fragmented legacy systems, and mounting regulatory scrutiny. From the explosive rise of Generative AI tools to widespread shadow IT and sprawling cloud application use, financial organizations face a velocity paradox: the faster they move, the more exposed they become.

This executive roundtable will convene top security and IT leaders to explore how unifying security and networking into a single converged architecture can transform security from a roadblock into a runway for innovation. Drawing on extensive experience securing global banks and insurers, Rehman Khan will share how to govern AI adoption in real time, eliminate operational drag caused by tool sprawl, and build an adaptable foundation for future growth. Participants will leave with a practical blueprint for achieving market speed securely and at scale, while reducing risk and future-proofing their digital infrastructure.

Among the discussion topics:

  • Managing Risk in a Fast-Moving Landscape: How to secure 23+ cloud apps per user, combat shadow AI use, and mitigate personal app misuse without slowing down workflows or introducing friction for frontline teams.
  • Eliminating Technical Drag: Why consolidating fragmented point products into a unified Security Service Edge (SSE) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) stack can reduce operational complexity, remove redundant policies, shorten audit cycles, and free teams to focus on strategic priorities.
  • Securing AI to Unlock Innovation: How real-time data loss prevention, user coaching, and policy enforcement can allow firms to harness AI safely and embed model oversight directly into existing risk frameworks.
  • Scaling with Confidence: Designing an architecture resilient enough to adapt for the next decade, enabling compliant global expansion into fast-growing markets like Asia-Pacific and Latin America while maintaining security and performance across regions.
